DEEP DIVE WITH TONY
The Seasons of Love
After 25 years of marriage and working with millions of people, I've discovered a profound truth: relationships, like nature, have PATTERNS.
They move through distinct seasons. What most people don't realize is that the most beautiful seasons come after weathering the storms—yet most quit during the first spring rain...
Watch time: 4 min | A Message from Tony & Sage Robbins
Author Michael Gurianresearched the Seasons of Love years ago and inspired me to dive in further.
And I’m honored to share these insights with you today. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, I invite you to reflect on these seasons and see which resonate with your current journey. Remember, the timing of these seasons isn’t a rigid rule—they’re more like guiding patterns that naturally ebb and flow as part of life’s greater rhythms.
1. Spring: The Age of Enchantment (20s-30s)
Romance: The beginning is intoxicating—pure pleasure, novelty, and magnetic attraction.
Disillusionment: The first real test comes when expectations meet reality. You might wonder, "Have I made a mistake?"
Power Struggle: Instead of blaming your partner, this is your invitation to look inward and own your part.
2. Summer: The Age of Awakening (40s)
Awakening: You realize expectations only lead to pain. You begin to truly see through your partner's eyes.
First Descent: Deep self-work reveals old patterns that no longer serve.
Refined Intimacy: A renewed appreciation emerges, deeper than before.
3. Fall: Radiant Love (50s-60s)
Creative Partnership: Deep commitment blossoms into the richest love yet.
Second Descent: Together you face life's biggest challenges.
Radiant Love: An unbreakable alliance forms—you become teachers to others.
4. Winter: Completion & Devotion (60s+)
Elder Sunset: Life becomes precious in new ways as roles evolve.
Body's Descent, Soul's Rise: As physical energy declines, spiritual connection deepens.

How seasons can change everything
Most people don't understand the true purpose of a relationship. It's a place you go to GIVE, not to get.
In springtime, or baby love, it's all about how the other person makes us feel. But as we grow and mature in our love, we realize our relationships actually hold a mirror up to us. They show us our blind spots. They refine us, like gold through fire.
It makes me emotional thinking about all the seasons Sage and I have navigated together in this life.
And you may experience these seasons with platonic love; with a mother or father, aunt or uncle, brother or sister. Or with your chosen family.
Take a moment to ask yourself:
If you’re in a relationship, what season are you in?
If you're single, what season did your last relationship end in?
And how can understanding these seasons prepare you for deeper love ahead?
And next week, my team will share something powerful about creating unconditional love in any relationship. You won't want to miss it.
Love is our greatest gift, my friend. Happy love month!
